I can't imagine that any of these "apologies" were written solely by the celebrities in question, since there are agents, marketing people, and social media experts involved. It's a collective effort directed toward keeping the money rolling in for everybody associated with Celebrity Incorporated.

I thank God that I came up in a time when my celebrity heroes said "Fuck you." to everybody. Would Jim Morrison apologize? Would Lou Reed apologize? Would Elizabeth Taylor apologize? Would James Brown apologize? Hell no. It's like a world of spineless worms now.
