I can’t care about over 300 million incredibly diverse people spread out over a continent in a meaningful way and neither can you. No one can, they can only say they do. I don’t care anymore about a random mother on Wyoming than I do one in Mumbai. I can however care about my family, friends, and even neighbors because I know them and actually see them. They’re real to me. Creating massive government programs is slow and inefficient, and as was the point in my original post, some individual still has to do the work.
