I believe that most adult performers are using a pseudonym in their professional life, so impersonators are using a fake name on a fake account. I can see why the people running social media sites aren’t in a big hurry to straighten this out, since it’s made up names all the way down the line. The fans who would communicate with adult performers on social media have already jumped off the cliff into fantasy land, so who exactly they are following probably isn’t that important to them as long as there is the appropriate name and a picture. They don’t even know whether or not it is actually the performer who is tweeting under their official porn name handle, but for the fantasy to work they don’t need to know.
