"Has it been? I don't know."

Me neither, because all of the news we recieve is essentially Ukranian propaganda. Yes, Russia is the bad guy, but we are really not seeing anything from their viewpoint at all, and of course that would all be propaganda too if we did.

My main issue with Mr. Tanner's approach is primarily that battalion sized units cannot act like independent entities on the battlefield, unless all they are doing is sitting in trenchs defending a piece of territory, as the Ukranians have been doing for 8 years. Offensive operations are a whole other deal. The forces need to closely follow a plan laid out on a higher level, and react immediately to orders from above as that plan changes, because the leadership at brigade and division level see a bigger picture. I doubt that this plan will have any influence on operations anyway, since NATO certainly has countless generals and staff officers working on how to turn this around already.

I was being facetious about Ukranian efforts to retake Kherson. The Ukranians appear to have been launching some offensive efforts since the city was caputured, by treason according to Zelensky, but the attacks are obviously not working since the Russians still hold the city wirh a nice buffer.
