For all of the studies done about weed since the 1960s, no one seems to know anything definitive about it except that it generally makes people feel good. Marijuana was very popular with jazz musicians and made the move into the rock & roll. Rappers love weed. I don’t know if weed enhances musical creativity because I’m not a musician, but I can testify than it makes music sound better. I also pick up things in music when I’m high that I might otherwise miss. With a good weed buzz it’s like you’re looking at or listening to everything fresh.

As examples of people working under the influence of weed we get a Hollywood film maker and Captain Nemo, but what about an average schmoe? I see people doing some jobs and wonder why they wouldn’t be high? You’re shoveling and raking a dump truck load of mulch? You’re on your back under a house all day putting in insulation? You are making one coffee after after another when you’re not mopping for eight hours? Stocking shelves? How does getting high affect that productivity, and does anyone care?
