Every introvert I know hates events like ballgames, festivals, and concerts where they are in a crowd of strangers, because there is a very good chance that someone in the throng will try to engage them in some way. An extrovert by themselves might very well be that person. If introverts are interested in politics, they can just PayPal some money to a candidate or cause, which is what they most want anyway, rather than go to a rally. If introverts are happy being by themselves in their homes, then they don’t really have any problem whatsoever since that is quite easy to arrange. They can even have their groceries delivered.

I can’t imagine that there is any humane way to teach someone how to deal well with isolation, which is used as a punishment with children and in prison. The class Living Well Alone would have a teacher, right? Kind of defeats the whole purpose. This is just another lesson in the reality that everyone isn’t the same, doesn’t want or need the same things, and can’t be made the same.
