Corinne, thanks for your wacky take on all of that. Yes, the Europeans and later the Americans made all of the records of native peoples in the Americas and elsewhere because they knew how to write, and the natives didn’t. Other than artifacts, those records are all we have to go on, at least if you think that history is a science and not some made up bullshit to support your political ideology. There is no doubt that Europeans sided with different tribes against each other and vice versa, and that the Algonquin and Iroquois speakers were traditional enemies with each other, so war was a part of their culture and of course they were incredible fighters. The French and Indian War actually happened. The present day Native Americans on their reservations with generators, televisions, smartphones, and pick-up trucks have some oral traditions, but their lifeways are completely different, and there are written tribal, state, and national laws that protect women.
Not all of the white men and women were out to kill the Indians, because if they were they would have been completely killed off rather than given over 56 million acres of land that they are essentially soveriegn over. If you don’t think that the historical natives weren’t self interested and made mistakes too, and were absolutely human in other words, you need to read a history book or two.
