The post-Enlightenment Western Industrial Scientific civilization that has taken over the whole World is the only one that could have come up with a radio. There were sizable civilizations in the Western Hemisphere before Columbus that never figured out THE WHEEL. They dragged shit. Many civilizations never even developed writing. A complex Chinese civilization developed very early, but then it stayed exactly the same for millenia until they were forced to change by the Europeans. We can thank Western civilization for even having the tools to talk about this stuff, but it was one of many.
