Have you ever watched any college or professional sports? Athletes are always crying in moments of great triumph, and great loss. It's expected. If a man is sobbing at a graduation, funeral, or wedding, it's perfectly acceptable to all. But real men don't cry to manipulate other people or draw attention to themselves. They don't cry about not getting their way, or because they can't deal with discomfort. Real men don't cry if they are scared, they deal with the problem. Abuse of women occurs because some men can't control their needy emotional bullshit.

Criticism doesn't bother me because I make it point to not do anything that anyone who matters would criticize me over. If I do have a problem with someone, I will try my best to work things out, and failing that I just stay away from them.
