Andrew, when was the last time you went to a supermarket? Near me in Pittsburgh I have Aldi, Whole Foods, Target, Trader Joes, and local chains Giant Eagle and Kuhns. They ALL have plenty of fresh produce, beans, rice, lentils, gluten free, ethnic, and other healthy foods. And yes I live near government housing projects, and see people at the supermarket buying frozen crap with the state EBT card. Healthy food only works to do a body good if people buy, cook, and eat healthy food. There are also excellent seasonal farmers markets, but poor people don't generally shop at them. Again, your assertion is ridiculous. It's all about choices, not a lack of healthy food. I shudder to think of how much beautiful produce the markets throw out because people don't buy it.
