That's not true. No one in 1986 had a smartphone or a flat screen TV, or even a flip phone or PC. No one could access Amazon or Ubereats for home delivery. Airlines are carrying over five times the number of passengers now as in 1986. Cars are much safer, get better gas mileage, and they have video and cup holders. There are many, many more varieties of cuisine, coffee, beer, wine, weed, and spirits available to the average person. The number of annual college graduates has more than doubled since 1986. If someone in 1986 owned fully programmed Protools on an iMac Pro, it would have been worth billions of dollars. Thanks to advances in technology we are all wealthier. You are comparing apples to rocks.
